Cargo Operations Management

The objective of this course is to give technical legal and administrative aspects concerning safe and efficient cargo transport.

The following topics will be presented and discussed:Toxic

  • Tasks and responsibilities of the shore and ship side operation
  • The role of transport over water and transshipment in the entire cargo transfer chain
  • The different types of transport over water and their means
  • The package techniques of goods for transport over water and different climates.
  • The risks and dangers attached to the different type of cargoes for the environment and transport means
  • The possible damages to the cargo during transport
  • The compulsory processes and legal compliances related to the technical part of the transport of the different type of cargoes over water.

 

Fleet Management

DGDWith this course the aim is to provide the course participant with in-depth knowledge and skills on fleet management. The module addresses formal aspects concerning ships registry, flags and relevant organisations.  Also fleet- and port operations are considered, not only focusing on cost effectiveness, but also on how to cope with incidents, thus realising safe and environmental friendly operations.

 

Maritime Survey & Safety Management

LNG-TerminalThe objective of this course is to address all regulations, technologies and practices concerning maritime safety and surveying, relevant to the implementation of maritime transport solutions, which are safe, secure and protecting the environment. An important element of this course is handling claims, accident and loss prevention.
