The Korean Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries underlined the importance of STC-Korea by establishing a Task Force for support and guidance, comprising 17 high officials from Ministries, Associations and Multinational Companies in Shipping and Transport. The demand for management courses in Korea has been clearly expressed by many Korean government bodies, research- and training institutes, associations, as well as many companies active in shipping, transport, logistics and port operations, such as:
